Renacarb

Overview

Renacarb is a bicarbonate haemodialysis concentrate used in the treatment of end-stage renal disease. Part A is supplied as an acid concentrate solution and Part B as sodium bicarbonate powder; the machine proportions both with treated water to produce the dialysis fluid.

The dilution ratio is designated in the variant name. Renacarb 35X is formulated for use with Renacarb Part B in 35X three-stream haemodialysis machines, and a single Part B pouch is made up with quality water to produce six litres of bicarbonate solution.

Part A is supplied in 4L, 5L, 10L and 28L HDPE cans and in PET bottles, and Part B packed for one or five four-hour sessions. Six variants are supplied under our distribution agreement — we confirm which suits your machines and prescribing before anything is agreed.
